Are we ourselves, or are we just becoming a product of collective thought?
The absurd ease with which one has access to information and content nowadays has eliminated many barriers between being a spectator and being a protagonist. Now we dedicate hours and hours to consume the content that others do, to share or comment on the thoughts of others, dedicating less and less time to that internal space of finding ourselves, of understanding who we are or who we want to be, and taking the reins of our actions and with deeds, to express to the university our personality. We are never alone, and that is not necessarily good. Solitude in an intimate way allows people to confront their deepest thoughts in nothingness and help them shape that ideal of the person they want to be. On the contrary, that tide of information and experiences through tools such as likes, comments, or followers make you feel involved and important are the most superfluous distractions that society has achieved to make any hint of difference disappear on the plain.
